Dan Peterson: Sin - A Short History

Martin_Luther_1.pngSin–A Short History. This series covers a spectrum of perspectives essential to an understanding of sin in the history of Western Christian thought: the Apostle Paul, the foundational debate on the topic between Pelagius and Augustine, the Catholic perspective of Thomas Aquinas, and finally the perspective of Martin Luther.  By the end of the series participants will be “experts on sin,” able to define contemporary views of sin (from Martin Luther King to Mike Huckabee) in light of the spectrum constructed.

This series will span 4 weeks during the Coffee Talk adult education hour.  Dan is a frequent guest speaker at Creator and always provides a lively mix of theology, humor and contemplation as he challenges us to think more deeply about our faith and discipleship. As he writes on his website:Dan_Peterson.png

“Now is the day of salvation,” says the Apostle Paul.  Now is the day of good theology — and with it the chance to deepen discipleship in your congregation with Sound Theology.Sound_Theology.png
